Very interesting, and thanks for sharing. Recently, I noticed some of the guys on another forum saying that they felt this to originally be a pure
Lama Pai set, and put sets of their own up for comparison viewing. When I look at the clip from China that I posted first, the footwork and techniques all bear this out.
Of course, I've seen the
Haak Fu Mun sets with more of a
Hung Ga/ Hung Fut basis. Therefore, as you say, some later development.
This all fits in with the bigger picture of what we are seeing, so far as a lot of exchange between most
Guangdong Sap Fu lineages, both previously, and through subsequent generations. Therefore, a mixed foundation is developed long ago, thus laying the groundwork for further collaboration and development, on down into our relatively modern times.
