Romanisation of Chinese Terms at Naamkyun.com

Postby NaamKyun.com » Fri Aug 24, 2007 5:20 pm

NaamKyun.com has adopted Yale system of Cantonese romanization. You can find more info on Yale (and other romanisation systems) at

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yale_Roman ... #Cantonese

http://www.omniglot.com/writing/cantonese.htm

We omitt the marks denoting the tones (rising, level, falling) and also the "h" letter denoting low tones .

Please help us to unify all the Chinese terms and expressions; whenever and if possible, please use

- Yale plus Chinese characters, or
- any romanisation plus Chinese characters, or
- just Yale

For the terms in Mandarin Chinese, please get used to Pinyin. Please see

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinyin
